San Diego Home Prices

The San Diego County home price median in July was $342,000. So, even though the San Diego median home price set a four-year high last month, it’s still far off its all-time high of $517,500 set in November 2005.

Dataquick also reported that San Diego home sales, which had been on a five-month increasing streak, dropped in July. Very few news outlets reported this fact, but rather, just emphasized the new four-year high in home prices. Considering that we are in the seasonally strongest time for real estate sales, to me, a drop in sales at this time may be signaling trouble ahead as we enter into the typical fall and winter seasonal real estate sales slowdown.
