Yesterday, the San Diego Association of realtors reported that although the median San Diego home sales price has stabilized above $500,000, single-family home resales for July decrease by 13% compared to sales in June. During the same period, sales of previously owned condominiums and townhomes fell about 2%.

In a report from the San Diego Association of Realtors the median home price was up again May. but not at the pace of a year ago. The year-over-year increase was 7 percent this May, but it was about 20 percent in May 2013.
Also, it was noted that in May, the number of active San Diego homes for sale increased to over 7,000 active home listings in the San Diego MLS system. Read more

Dataquick, a real estate reporting company just issued a report that shows that San Diego housing market dipped slightly again in January as home sales hit their lowest levels in the past three years.
San Diego home prices also dipped in January with the median home price, falling $15,000 from December. But, even with that drop the January 2014 median San Diego home price was still up 15.7% from January 2012. Read more

Today, a report released by the San Diego Association of Realtors, showed a total of 1,609 single-family homes were sold last month, this figure was down 15.6 percent from November 2012, and 11.3 percent below October.
For attached homes sold in November were 761, down 19.4 percent from the same month last year, and 9.6 percent below October’s sales amount. Read more

It was just reported today by the La Jolla real estate tracking company DataQuick, that San Diego countywide sales total hit a 7-year high.
There were 25,419 new and used homes and condominiums sold last month in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Ventura, San Bernardino and Orange counties. Read more

The San Diego Association of Realtors just reported that San Diego County home increased 14% — from $360,000 to $410,000 – between February 2012 and February 2013. This is the first time in two years that the median price of a home in the San Diego area crossed the $400,000 level.

Today, the National Association of Realtors released a report that showed U.S. sales of previously occupied homes rose 2.1 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.79 million, up from 4.69 million in September.
The October 2012 home sales pace is roughly 11 percent higher than a year ago. But that is still below the more than 5.5 million that economists consider a healthy housing market. Read more

A Red Flag For San Diego Home Sales
DataQuick a real estate information service announced yesterday that home sales in San Diego County increased 4.2 percent in September, compared to a year ago, while San Diego home prices rose by 11.1 percent, year over year.
The median price of a San Diego home in September was $350,000, up from $315,000 in September 2011.
Unfortunately, the same report also showed that just a total of 17,859 new and resale houses and condos sold in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Ventura, San Bernardino and Orange counties in September, . That was down 20.4 percent from 22,438 in August, and down 1.6 percent from 18,149 in September 2011. Read more

The first of two important real estate reports released today was from the California Association of Realtors. this report just analyzed the detached single-family homes. The report showed that home sales for January 2012 increased by 15% over January 2011 in San Diego County. unfortunately, the same report showed that the home sales for January took a huge drop of 26.9%from December 2011. The median price of a single-family home last month was $350,680, down from January 2011’s figure of $370,100 and December 2011’s $359,930. Read more

Dataquick La Jolla-based real estate information company just released a report showing that San Diego home sales were up a tiny 0.3% in October when compared to October a year ago. But, even this tiny increase in sales did not translate into an increase in San Diego home prices. Read more
