CALIFORNIA LEAST AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN NATION
Despite falling home prices in many regions of the state, California remains the nation's least affordable market for homeowners according to the latest California Building Industry Association NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Opportunity Index."Despite market corrections that have made some areas more affordable, the fact remains that the cost of housing in California is out of reach for many hard-working families who want to be able to buy their first home," said CBIA president and CEO Robert Rivinius.

House prices have held steady throughout the past 100 years in the US at 3x median income of whatever area you study… because every house you build must be affordable to the workers within the surrounding area.
