Home Sales for March Improve

March pending home sales improve

real estate sales The National Association of Realtors just announced that pending home sales increased in March 2013 to the highest rate since April 2010! Home purchase contracts signings rose in the South, West and Midwest, and were unchanged in the Northeast.

Home purchase signed contracts were 7 percent higher than the March , 2012 figures. Read more »

A number of new home developers, as well as resale real estate firms are no longer using the term ‘master bedroom suite.’ The liberals in government and the real estate industry are moving forward in their push for self-censorship to keep anyone from possibly being offended and to make common sense citizens feel like bigots . . . the master bedroom phraseology will will soon fade from our collective memories as we now refer to this room as the ‘owners suite’ or ‘owner’s bedroom.’ There is even talk of  renaming “family” room because it may offend those without families! New San Diego housing bubbleSan Diego California single-family median resale home prices hit $432,000 in March, a rise of 5 percent from February, and nearly 19 percent from March of 2012.

Condos and townhomes saw an even higher increase in the median price – $285,000, which is a jump of 14 percent from February, and 30 percent from March of last year.

Normally, single-family home prices should increase 2-3% a year tops plus inflation… yet we’re seeing 20-30% increases or more? Home values are halfway back to where they were pre-2007! Read more »

home prices increaseCoreLogic, a real estate data provider just reported that home prices in February increased by 10.2% over the year ago period. The February home price increases mark 12 months of annual price improvement.
