Airbnb Bust

 Airbnb Bust -Housing Market

Some believe that Airbnb owners are about to cause a massive housing crash in certain cities across America in 2023 and 2024.

The Airbnb Bust is the new trend where revenues for Airbnb owners have plummeted by as much as 50% in areas like Phoenix, Austin, and Tennessee. Read more »

Where are the Home Buyers?

Home Buyers?

Is there a CRASH in HOMBUYER DEMAND?

As we are coming into the holiday season with considerable inflation shock I would imagine many buyers are going to put house shopping on the back burner. When you can’t count on pricing for daily needs being relatively stable, it puts a lot of things on hold.

Could the US Housing Market Bubble be turning into a Housing Crash? Perhaps in certain cities across the Sun Belt, where external homebuyer interest has crashed! Read more »

Real Estate Market Top

Real Estate Market Top

My first post where I called the real estate market top was June 15, 2021 (https://www.brokerforyou.com/brokerforyou/real-estate-market-downturn/ ) just a couple of weeks ago. Then, two days later on June 17 I had a follow-up post ( https://www.brokerforyou.com/brokerforyou/real-estate-market-bust/ )where I added additional indicators, that to me showed that the market was in a topping phase right now! I put the links to each one of those prior post above, and would suggest if you’re interested, to reread those posts!

Real Estate Market Top - real estate bubble

Today’s post, concerns my original indicator, changed listings that appear in the Prescott Valley Arizona area. If you look at the image above, you’ll see that for the eight listings that are shown (I could show many more just changed listings, but I don’t want to scroll down, these listings are coming up in random order), of these first eight random real estate listings that are shown, today, all eight are showing price reductions! Real estate market bust!

Real estate market bust!  (Note -published June 2021)

Real estate market bust! - San Diego Residential Property Outlook

Real estate market bust!

For well over 18 months now the number one question when talking about the real estate market has been when is the market going to turn down? Naturally, there’s been lots of speculation, but until now there have not been any conclusive signs of out in our way overheated real estate market.

Two days ago I wrote a post, ( https://www.brokerforyou.com/brokerforyou/real-estate-market-downturn/ ) where I speculated that because of the large number of price reductions occurring in just one very hot residential real estate market in Arizona, it was my opinion that the entire U.S. market had topped out and is now ready for a downward move of the substantial magnitude.

Well, for the last couple days I’ve been looking for other indicators to confirm my theory. I’ve now found those indicators, and must say, without hesitation are now in the topping out phase of one of the craziest residential real estate markets that I’ve ever seen! Read more »

Real Estate Market Downturn

1st signs of the Real Estate Market Downturn (Note published June 2021)

California real estate - New California Real Estate Tax - Real Estate Market Downturn

Real Estate Market Downturn

I’ve been in residential real estate for over three decades and I can tell you that major real estate market turns do not happen on a dime! If you study the residential real estate market, there are subtle signs of major market turns. Precisely because these are at first relatively minor moves, they are usually discounted or overlooked by the press and most real estate professionals. One should keep in mind that the residential real estate market professionals are not so much professional market timers – actually they probably are no better at market timing than your average dog groomer – but are just very good salespeople! Yes, the residential real estate market professionals are professional salespeople and nothing more. Read more »

2021 Housing Bubble

2021 Housing Bubble

Great to hear Schiff’s perspective on how inflation is the driving force behind the RE bubble. Gives me some reassurance on buying a primary residence in this market, since the inventory crunch isn’t getting solved any time soon. A hard asset is way better than holding fiat currency, especially as inflation worsens.

Love how you’re already up $30K on your lumber stockpile! Raw materials are going through the roof. Copper is another one that is seeing all time highs. Read more »

Housing Bailout & Your Vote

The more money congress takes from taxpayers, the more money they spend. We don't have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem. But what the heck does congress care. It is easy to spend money that is not your money. I could do the same, too. I would like to see every incumbent in the house of representatives get voted out of office in November. All of them need to go. Also, get rid of 1/3 of the Senate that is up for vote in November, too. VOTE FOR NO INCUMBENTS IN NOVEMBER. Sent a big message to the fools.
