This is a Saturday walk around the San Diego Convention Center during the 2018, Comic-Con convention. As the largest annual event for San Diego California with approximately 130,000 attendees, this is also the largest economic infusion ( approximately $140 million) that the city of San Diego receives from any activity/event!

When Comic-Con First started here in San Diego it’s estimated that there were just 300 people who attended. As I said before this year’s estimate of attendance, was approximately 130,000! So, to say that this is a popular annual event, is really an understatement! Yes, the Comic-Con conventionIs San Diego’s premier event that is well known throughout the world! I understand every time they put Comic-Con tickets up for sale, they are sold out in a matter of hours! Badge prices for 2018 increased slightly, adult badges ranging from $63 for a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday badge (up from $60 in 2017) to $42 for a Sunday badge (up from $40 in 2017). All four badges can be purchased for $231. Also, if you want, you can add $45 for Preview Night to make your total $276!
I personally believe this is a great way to show off America’s finest city to the many out-of-towners and even out of country visitors to, Comic-Con. I’m sure a good number of the comic on visitors come to the realization that San Diego is a great city to call home, his is probably especially true if they’re coming from the Northeast or the Midwest and subject to very harsh winters and short summers.
Sure there’s no doubt that San Diego County is an expensive place to call home. But, if you want to live in a paradise, you have to pay for it!
Naturally, anything that promotes our city to out-of-towners is going to be a positive for residential real estate market. Plus, this sci-fi, comic, and animation convention is always a fun time not only for the participants of the convention but also for the San Diego Residents who go down to see all the costume characters.
