Lake Murray reservoir is within the boundaries of Mission trails regional Park, boarded by San Diego, La Mesa, and Santee. There’s a great walking and jogging path that goes about 3.2 miles around the lake up to the dam. You can’t go all the way around on the path because of the dam, so you do have to backtrack.
This is a great place to go that’s close into everything. You really feel like you’re out in the country here. It is quite a bit of parking inside the lakes visitor area. Also, there is a boat loading ramp, barbecues and 64 picnic tables. If you like, you could rent a boat or kayak, also shoreline fishing is permitted.

*** Until the FAA issues final regulations on drone usage, the commercial use of them is in question. So, it’s best to just use them just for your personal hobby interests. We are NOT offering any aerial photography services at this time.
