With the average San Diego real estate agents website getting under 1,000 unique visitors per month, I’m always receiving inquiries as to how my site generate so much traffic. Really, it’s pretty simple, the number one reason I believe is because of the age of the site. Yes, this San Diego real estate blog site is over 17 years old! It’s a well-known assumption among search engine optimization specialists that one of the major ranking factors that Google uses is the age of the website itself. So, naturally the older the site, I guess like fine wine, the better it will rank on Google and most of the other search engines as well.
The second most important reason that this site get so many visitors is because I try to present interesting real estate related information. Unfortunately, the majority of real estate agents and brokers usually just have milk-toast articles of a very general nature. What I’m talking about here are articles like the best colors the paint your home in anticipation of marketing it, how to stage your home properly, why you should always use a real estate professional in marketing your property etc.
I think on most San Diego real estate sites you would be hard-pressed to find opinions or forecast about San Diego or California real estate matters. This lack of opinion is because many agents and brokers are afraid that they may lose a potential client if they express their opinion on any controversial subject.
I understand this attitude, but just don’t agree with it.
