New California Gas Tax
California Assembly Bill 32
It has been brought to my attention that a new tax in California will be going into effect, Assembly Bill 32. (1)(2)
Starting January 1, 2015, Californians will pay 16 to 76 cents more per gallon of gas as a result of a gas tax that was created by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the Brown Administration without public knowledge or legislative approval. (3)
Currently, Californians are taxed 71.3 cents on each gallon of gasoline, the highest in the nation (4). Assembly Bill 32 will add another 16 to 76 cents more per gallon of gas. (3)
 
I was not aware of this new tax, so we became informed. I would like you to become informed then voice your opinion to your California state assemblyman and senator. (5)(6)
This is a prime example of the fact that the Man-Made global warming hype is going to really hit all Californians in the pocket book! We are already paying one of the highest electric rates in the country (and going higher) and now a huge gas tax increase. Oh, by the way, critics are also angry because these new dollars will help fund Brown’s controversial high-speed-rail project — a project likely to increase greenhouse-gas emissions during the long construction phase & is a project likely to increase greenhouse-gas emissions during the long construction phase. Plus, this CA high-speed-rail project is considered by many top engineering professionals to be the largest government boondoggle in the history of the United States!
Do you ever get the feeling that the legislators in Sacramento are really not there to protect the citizens and write new laws when necessary, but are really there to plan and implement new laws to restrict businesses and implement new taxes and fees wherever possible? Keep in mind, this is a state totally run by the Democrats and their union puppet masters!
