According to The Wall Street Journal, the original "Material Girl," better known as Madonna, has reduced the price of her Beverly Hills, Calif., home for the second time. Originally listed at $10.9 million in May 2003, the price is now at $9.75 million.

The Mediterranean-style property was designed in the 1920s by architect Wallace Neff. With 7,000 square feet, the home has eight bedrooms and a guesthouse. Madonna purchased it from actress Diane Keaton in 2000 for $6.5 million, and then renovated it for an additional $2 million.

Madonna, who openly praises all things British, has homes in England and New York City. She spends the bulk of her time in Britain, however, with her husband, Guy Ritchie, and children, Lourdes and Rocco.

DREYFUSS SAYS GOODBYE TO SHERMAN OAKS, CALIF.

Actor Richard Dreyfuss put his Sherman Oaks, Calif., home on the market,

according to the Los Angeles Times. Listed at $2.5 million, the property includes a gym, three-and-one-half bathrooms and five bedrooms, three of which are located in a separate wing.

Built in 1940, the 3,700-square�foot home was designed in a tradi�tional style, with a country kitchen with tile floors and granite countertops.

Dreyfuss purchased the home a decade ago but hasn't lived there for several years. He starred on Broadway in the revival of Sly Fox and, beginning in November, will be in London star�ring in The Producers.

Actress Talia Shire, who appeared in all of the The Godfather and Rocky movies, was the previous owner.

Dreyfuss won a Best Actor Oscar� in 1977 at age 29 for The Goodbye Girl, and an Oscar nomination for Mr. Holland's Opus in 1995. He has also starred in American film favorites such as Jaws, Stand by Me and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
