Lasting Impression Tips
The following tips are a guideline to
assist you the award applicant to understand what we are looking for
specifically. Reading these guidelines will further enhance your
understanding of what it will take to win an award. We have included
suggestions on what we find desirable and what we find undesirable
within a site.
Desirable Elements
- Which bring us back full
circle to our mission statement.
Which states: "While there are an infinite number of websites on
the Net, there are finite numbers that leave an overwhelming
feeling of being awestruck by both the content and the structure
of the site."
- Your site content subject
should be broad enough to reach a general population of the
Internet community. Your content should be more than this is me
and my family photos or my hobby. While we are sure that you
have a beautiful and interesting grouping of photos, we must
learn something from them.
For example: if you have content regarding your hobby of stamp
collecting. Teach us about the hobby; assist us to become more
informed about the art of stamp collecting. Perhaps teaching us
about what is a rare find and what is more common. We would find
this far more valuable information than simply showing me your
stamp collection.
Undesirable Elements
- We find sites that submit
content that is merely a collection of links from other sites do
not leave a lasting impression.
