  2. Seems there should have been more government regulation and tighter qualification for subprime mortgages in order to prevent what we’re now facing.

  3. What were the government regulators doing while banks and mortgage brokers were issuing these subprime loans? Maybe there wouldn’t be so many mortgage foreclosure scams if the government was regulating the subprime loans!

  5. I think we’ll see some significant “dust” settling when this crisis is said and done. It’s quite possible that this will make the 80’s look like a picnic.
