Real Estate Woes Cause Fed to Cut Interest Rates For Third Time In Three Months

The Fed’s quarter-point cut in the federal funds rate to 4.25 percent was announced shortly after 2:15 p.m. ET and was the third straight rate cut from the Fed. The cut disappointed investors who had hoped for a more aggressive rate reduction of a half-percentage point.     Those discussing the large drop in home prices that need to happen are failing to mention that the nominal price will not fall that far because Bernake is inflating the market; real prices will fall 30%+, however.

    Just get it over and done with, a recession is required to weed out the crap in the market.
